Blue

Well, I had the blue doily almost done but had to frog it out to the 2nd row, the rose on the left side was not far enough over to the edge, made them look funny.
Oh well. It was only a days work fortunately, so I'll be back where I was in no time, I hope. lol...
I guess frogging is universal, you ripit whether you are knitting or crocheting.
Maybe I need to knit a little Frog to sit by my laptop. :)

Hope to start reading Viper Moon by Lee Roland this evening, looks like it'll be good.

Reading

My other passions are reading and movies, in that order.  I love to read and I've been known to read and knit at the same time, difficult I know, but blame it on the ADHD. lol
The book I'm reading right now is Night Veil by Yasmine Galenorn, I really do enjoy her books, I've read all most every book she's published so far.
If you are interested, check it out.

At it again

Well, my neighbor loves doilies, especially blue ones, so I'm designing a special one for her anniversary.
I'm on the first row, but have it all graphed out so hopefully it will go quickly and easily.
I think it'll be really pretty though.
I'll post a pic when I get farther than one row. :)
Here's a pic of the cotton I'm using though.

Back to previous work

Well, I guess it's time to get back to the scarves I have been working on. I have finished plenty of other things so time to get back to it.
I'll post a pic as I either make progress or finish. :)

Weekend projects

Well, here are the projects I worked on this past weekend, nothing really intense but feels like accomplished a bit.

Dishcloths

Okay, here are pics of the dishcloths from the last post.

The Fuzzy Thing

Well, the fuzzy thing I was going to make as a scarf, is not going to be a scarf, the one skein was just too small.  I 've decided to make an e-reader cover out of it.  I'll post a pic when I get it done.
I also started and finished a dishcloth yesterday and another one today.  I love instant gratification. :)
I'll take pics as soon as I finish the second one in just a bit and post.
I do like working with cotton yarn, a bit slippery at times but overall not an unpleasant experience at all.

One skein project

Well, I had one skein of this Patons yarn that I purchased several years ago, I don't know what I thought I was going to do with it.
But, I've decided to use it up and make a scarf for another Christmas gift with it.

Finish

Well, I got the purple scarf finished, it's so soft.  I think it'll be perfect for a 10yr old.

Another gift on the needles

Well, I started yet another one.
This is going to be a scarf for a soon to be 10yr old going on 30.

Mystery Gift

Well, I think I have the first part of the pattern done, I've been working on it since yesterday, several hours so far, and I have 1 inch. lol...
But I feel good, like I'm really accomplishing something amazing.
I think it will be when I'm done.
And I've only had to frog back to the basic ribbing once so far, of course, I know I'll be frogging more at some point, but once in 2 days is like a world record for me. lol
Happy knitting all.

Mystery Gift

Well, I recieved a hank of Zitron Hand Art, I love it, and am trying to design a wrist warmers from it, I somehow (I have been smart enough to write down my stitches as I go), create a kind of 3 stranded cable.  It's looking really cool, I'll have to keep it going and see how it turns out, I think I have tweaking to do on one of the sections, but the rest look great.

In a Funk

I need to start a new project, and since I'm trying to work on Christmas and get it all done, that is really what I need to work on, but...
I don't know which one I want to start on.  I have the yarn and pattern for one, but need to go get the needles I need (have straights not circs in that size), I have everything for a couple others but they just aren't speaking to me now and I know if I start them in the wrong frame of mind they just won't be what they should/could be.
Maybe I need to pull out my Dickens and read a bit to get in the mood of things again.
Ah well, I'll keep surfing, and drawing and see what I come up with.
Have a good day all.

Finished Hoodie

Well, here it is, I think it turned out pretty well if I do say so myself.
I think my modifications worked out pretty well.

Hoodie

Here's the finished hoodie sweater I was working on, well, almost finished, just have to sew the pocket on.

The sweater

Well, Instead of being for a girl, this sweater is now going to be for her brother.
I don't have quite enough of the color I was using , just a few yards give or take short, so I have a skein of the same brand, different color that goes well with it, but is very masculine as apposed to tomboy, so, I'm using the darker color for the upper edge of the sleeve, the hood and the front neck, then I'll use the main color I have left to do the hood edging.
I think it'll work well, but if anybody has any ideas or comments, feel free to leave them for me, I can use all the ideas I can get, if not for this one then  for the next one.

Sleeves

Well, I'm working on the sleeves, getting close to being done, doing them two at a time again on a circular needle.
Loving it .

3 needle bind-off

Well, I just learned the 3 needle bind off. I don't think I will ever do shoulder seams any other way now.  It worked so well, I love it.

Here's a pic of it.

Kaya's sweater

Well, I made my goal today of finishing the back of the sweater.  My goal for tomorrow is to get the front started and finished, we'll see if I can get to the sleeves, I think I'll do the sleeves for this one the same as the pink sweater, both at once on circular needle.  It worked fairly well, and they were both the same length and everything.
Well, I'm off to bed, night.

Whoohoo!

I hardly ever win anything, I can't say I haven't because I've won a few things here and there, but I just found out that I won a Cate Masters contest on Coffee Time Romance.com.  So cool.  Don't know what I won, I think it's a book or something, but I love books as much as I love yarn, so bring it on.  :)
Just had to share my excitement.

Kaya's sweater

Well, here is what I have so far.  It's just a start but plan to have the back complete by this evening and hopefully started on the front.
I think it'll be pretty.  Have only done one hood so far, but it was fairly easy, so shouldn't be a problem on this one.

Kaya's sweater

Okay, found my next Christmas project to start.
I'm doing the Lion Brand hoodie pattern http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/khs-hoodsweater.html
I just happened to have 2 skeins of homespun in my stash, they aren't the color in the pattern, but will be cute none the less. I also have a 3rd skein, but of a different color, wish I had two of that one, it's a little more colorful, but the color I'm using is Rococo.
Anyway, I'll post pics when I get more than 4 rows on the needles. lol

Christmas project

Well, .here's what I've got so far today, still a lot of work to go, but getting it figured out.

Labor Day

Well, it's Monday, Labor Day.  I haven't posted in a few days because I was so engrossed in trying to figure out this pattern, here's a pic so far.  I need to fix the bottom of the O but its better, I'm just trying to get it all worked out right now.
I'm still working on the weight loss, doing good, did have ice cream the other night, but worked it into my calorie alotment.  Got good exercise yesterday too, we took the dogs running at the Nature Park, not sure who got more worn out.  :)
Well, I'm off to do some more work. I'll check in later.  Have a great holiday Ya'll.

Designing, hard work.

Well, I'm designing a scarf for my best friends husband for Christmas.  I thought, naively, that a simple pattern would be simple to design, NOT.
But I think I've got it down now, I'll post it when it's done.
I've been so absorbed in it this morning, I forgot all about the laundry that's in the machines.

Sweater

YEAH!!!!!   Finished. I'm not too sure about my sleeve seams, think I'll go over them a bit, but otherwise, looking good I think.
Again for anybody interested it's the shawl collar sweater by Debbie Bliss.
I used Vanna's Choice Rose Mist.
