Dinky Long Legged Doggy Sweater

Okay, well, I maybe crazy to try to do this. I am going to try to make a dog sweater for a long legged small dog (Chinese Crested). Should be interesting, I cast on 75 on dpn's and am starting at the neck. I'm going to make a simple ribbed pattern since I'm using such a cool yarn color. Wish me luck,

I'll keep you posted.

ROW 2: SHOULD BE P2, K3 (IT SAYS K2).
Sorry for the error, and I was trying so hard not to have errors, oh well, goes to show the harder you strive for perfection, the more flaw pop out. lol...

Wednesday Morning Wristwarmers 2nd run

Well, I didn't like the way I had the one little cable running wonkily through the warmer, so I frogged this morning and used my subpar drawing skills and sketched what I think I ultimately want it to look like. :)
I'm about 2 inches in now, and much happier than I was with the 5 inches I had.

My hands are freezing this morning, in the mid forties here this am, so decided I have babytots cotton from Bernat, so creating some wristwarmers. so far so good.
Should have one finished fairly quickly, figuring out how I want the cables takes the longes.

Cold Coffee Update

Well, here it is, my instant gratification for the day.
It has booboo, and I'll fix that in the pattern, and I think for this cup, I'd add 2 more rows (the cup I used to mesure is taller and narrower).
Let me know what you think.
I'll add the pattern later after I rewrite it in a legible way. lol

Cold Coffee

Ugh! I got up way early this morning, it was in the 50's...I'm happy we're getting into cooler weather, but do we really have to jump from 90's to 70's in one fail swoop?
Well, I was chatting with Marla on the computer, and picked up my coffee cup and realized it was cold, I have saved a multitude of coffee cup cozy patterns but for some unfathomable reason I decided to just create one.
Nothing like making work for myself. Well, here's a pic of what I have so far, should be done in just a few.
I had to frog what I first did, way to big, I'd have had to have a really tall coffee cup to make it work.
I'm writing it down as I go.

An Award! Thank You

Well, I woke up sneezing at 5:30am and logged on to the computer and, too cool, I had an Award,

Thank you so much to Aadoria (love that name) over at http://anythingbutandthensome.blogspot.com/
I do so appreciate it.
Go check her out, way too cool what she does with paper products to make the most beautiful flowers, and the ice cream blog is teriff too.

Okay, I guess one of the rules is to tell you 7 things about me.
1. Well, I was born and raised in Alaska, it's still home sweet home, but moved to Texas 131/2 yrs ago. I packed up my son, 2 dogs and 2 birds and just did it, Scariest thing I've ever done, left everything and everyone I knew to transfer to a job in a new location. But glad I did it.

2. I have a 26yr old son, yes I too got preggers at 19, but I have been a successful mother, my son is doing well, and happy,

3. I worked for the USPS for 20yrs before deciding I needed another change and resigned my job. I know it was a risk, but isn't life, and I'm happier today than ever.

4. I have 2 dogs and a kitten, the kitten is in Wyoming with my Stepmother right now, waiting for me to go get her and bring her home.

5. I have one tatoo, that I got when I was 24, was going through a rough patch and my lion reminds me that no one has the power to take my power unless I give it to them. He needs touched up though, poor guy, a little faded.

6. I used to be addicted to games on Facebook, but am now addicted to Knitting Paradise.com

7. I'm getting married next month to the wonderful man I've been with for 10yrs.

Okay, now that you've had to suffer through that, I need to give you 15 blogs I follow, I'm new to the whole bloggosphere thing, so I don't know if I have that many, but here it goes.

I've found these all over the place in my quest for creative outlets, and I like them all. As I said, I haven't been following anyone for long, new to this whole process.
Hope you check them out.

Brittania's Dress, update

Well, here's what it looks like with some body to it. I have about 71/2 more inches to go, but I think it looks pretty good so far.

Brittania's Dress

Here's a pick of the dress from the Knitters Magazine that I'm making.

Dress for Brittania

Well, I started Brittania's dress that I'm making for Christmas today.
The pattern's really cool, from Knitters Magazine Fall 2010, the Socks to Frock, made with sock yarn.
They used Malabrigo, I'm using Red Heart, Heart and Sole, same gauge.
I've only gotten about 10 rows done so far, had to frog a couple times, seems the easiest patterns are the ones I end up frogging the most, probably because I don't pay attention as closely as I should.

Kindle Cover

I finished the purple Kindle cover I was making out of the purple thing. A friend is going to purchase it to give as a Christmas gift for a friend of hers. Whoohoo.

Sunday Oct 9

Well, it's a rainy 64 degrees at 10:45am. Yay!!! We needed the rain soo bad, and we're getting buckets of it, not so bad that anyone floats, but enough to keep man and beast inside for the most part, drinking coffee, and watching the beautiful drops fall from the sky.
Working on a wip that I had started a month or 2 ago. The green scarf, I think I'll get it finished this week.
Then onto a childs dress.
I think I'll read for a while today also, I need to get Dark Lover by J.R. Ward read soon.
Have a great Sunday all, or whatever day it is where you are.

Blue Roses

Well, I've gotten most of the doily I have been designing done, I just have to finish it up.
But here's what I have so far.
I think I'm going to take a break and read for a bit, and maybe take a nap, 3am was an early wake up this morning.
I'm going to read Blood Wyne by Yasmine Galenorn I think.

Blue monogramed doily

Well, the doily with the verigated cotton is just not working the way I want and I needed a doily done today, so this one took me about 2 or 3 hours to make.
It's monogramed with an S, didn't mean to make the side decoration look like C's, so I'll have to do something about that when I write up the pattern.
But all in all, don't think it turned out too bad.
