Mocha Cozy Pattern

I have another pattern written up.
I love this one, and the yarn was perfect for it, the pattern shows up fairly well and better than expected.
Okay, here it goes, bear with me and let me know if I made any errors please, I tried really hard to get it precise, but you know sometimes the interpretation gets a bit twisted.

Materials:
I used Patons Kroy Socks Stripes, in color Sultana Stripes; less than half a skein
US 2 DPN's

Special stitches:
Provisional or Crochet Cast-On ( I use a utube video)
Knitted or Cable Cast-On ( Utube again is a great source)
Skyp Stitch { slip 1 stitch purlwise, K1, YO, Pass slipstitch over the last 2 stitches (k1&yo)}

The pattern is worked over a set of 8 stitches so it made decreases a little creative.

Using Provisional or Crochet Cast-On, cast on 16 stitches.

Row 1: Into the cast on, K6, P2, K6, P2
Row 2: K2, P6, K2, P6
Row 3: (K2, Skyp, K2, P2) 2X
Repeat rows 2&3until handle measures approx 9in (22.9 cm)

Start body of cozy with row 3:
At the end of row 3 do NOT turn, using knitted or cable cast-on , cast on 16 stitches, (start placing stitches on a second and 3rd dpn whenever works for you), pick up the 16 live stitches from the cast on by removing the scrap yarn and picking up the stitches (K2, Skyp, K2, P2, K2, Skyp, K2, P2) cast-on another 16 stitches and join to work in the round.

Body Pattern:
Row 1: *K6, P2* repeat from * to * around.
Row 2: *K2, Skyp, K2, P2* repeat from * to * around
Repeat rows 1&2 until piece measures approx 1in (2.5cm)
Ending with Row 2.

Decrease Row:
K6, P2, K6, P2TOG, K6, P2, K6, P2TOG, K6, P2, K6, P2TOG, K6, P2, K6, P2TOG (60 stitches)

Modified pattern :
Row 1: *K2, Skyp, K2, P2, K2, Skyp, K2, P1* repeat from * to * around
Row 2: Knit all knits and Purl all purls
Repeat rows 1&2 until body measures approx 2in (5.1cm)
Ending with Row 1

Next Decrease Row:
*K6, P2, K6, P1, K6, P2TOG, K6, P1* repeat from * to * around
(58 stitches)

Modified pattern 2:
Row 1: *K2, Skyp, K2, P2, K2, Skyp, K2, P1* repeat from * to * around
Row 2 Knit all knits and Purl all purls.
Repeat rows 1&2 four more times, ending with row 2

Last Decrease Row:
P1, K1 Rib for 17 stitches, K2TOG; P1, K1, P1, K2TOG, P1, K1 Rib for 20 stitches, K2TOG, P1, K1, P1, K1, P1, K2TOG, P1, K1, P2TOG (54 stitches)

Work in P1, K1 rib for 4 rows, bind off in pattern loosely.

Pattern: Coffee Cozy ToGo

Okay, here's the pattern as I knitted it.

I used YarnBee Snowflake Yarn, its weight is 3
size 5 DPN's
Cable needle (whatever works for you)

Notes:
C6F: Place 3 stitches onto cable needle and hold to front of work, knit 3 stitches from left needle, work 3 stitches from holder

Cast on 52 stitches, I used the long tail method, whichever cast on you use though, you'll want it to be a bit stretchy.

Divide your COstitches between 3 dpn's and join without twisting stitches, to work in the round.

Rounds 1-5: K1,P1 rib around

Rounds 6&7: *K5,P1,K6,P1*, repeat from * to * around

Round 8: *K5,P1,C6F,P1*, repeat from * to * around

Round 9-14: As round 6

Round 15: *K2,KFB,K2,P1,C6F,P1* repeat from *to* around (56st)

Rounds 16-20: *K6,P1,K6,P1*, repeat from *to* around

Round 21: *K3,M1,K3,P1,C6F,P1*, repeat from *to* around (60st)

Round 22: K4,P1,K6,P1,K4, bind off (loosely in pattern) 14stitches, K4,P1,K6,P1,K4, bind off (loosely in pattern) 14 stitches; two sets of 16 (32) stitches remain across from each other.

Handle:
The stitches that have no working yarn attached to them can be placed on a stitch holder or extra needle for use later.

Working with the stitches that have the working yarn still attached work in pattern as follows.

Row 1: K4,P1,K6,P1,K4
Row 2: P4,K1,P6,K1,P4
Row 3: K4,P1,K6,P1,K4
Row 4: P4,K1,P6,K1,P4
Row 5: K4,P1,C6F,P1,K4

Repeat this pattern until handle measures approx 9 inches or desired length, ending with row 5.

Place the other set of live stitches on an extra needle if they are on a holder and using both sets of stitches do a 3 needle bind off to connect both sides of the handle.

Enjoy.

Coffee Shop ToGo

Well, I'm in the midst of designing a new pattern, I expect to have it finished in just a bit.
It's a coffee cup cozy for the to go cups from the coffee shop or convenience store and it has a handle.
I had seen a pattern on www.ravelry.com for one that I made, but didn't quite like the way it came out so I decided to create my own patter. I'll post the pattern as soon as I finish the cozy and get the last bit written down.
Here's a pic of what I have so far.

Okay, I have the finished product, I just have to finish writing it up.
Let me know what you think please.
