I decided I needed to make a little hat and wristers for a friends toddler for Christmas so came up with my own pattern, hopefully they fit. ;) The yarn is Plymouth Jelly Benz and is really nice to work with.
I'll post the patterns once I have them written up and proofed for any goofs.

It's been a while

It's been a while since I posted, so much has been going on. First we moved in June and that was an epic adventure all its own, then trying to get things unpacked and arranged. We also put up a fence at my Dear Stepmothers house, her pups are as happy as she is with it. :) And many other goings on, but I still managed to get some knitting in, this is the latest one, it's going to be a Christmas gift. The pattern is from http://www.garnstudio.com/lang/us/pattern.php?id=3322&lang=us and I used Brown Sheep Wool Lambs Pride Worsted in Mulberry. I love Brown Sheep yarns. Let me know what you think.

What I've been working on

Well, I've been busy packing and cleaning for the big move but I've managed to get a few things finished and off the needles and a few more started. I've finished several washcloths and am finishing up a toddler skirt as well as an adult hoodie, need to finish a swiffer pad but otherwise, I'm chugging along. :) This is the yarn I used for the skirt.

Lazy Needles

We went on vacation to Wyoming a couple weeks ago to visit family, I got 2 cup cozies done on the way up, but since then, I haven't gotten anything accomplished since. Ah well. I have been busy packing for the move to Wyoming, but I really need to get back to my needles. I'll post the pics of the 2 cozies later along with the patterns. :) Happy knitting and have a great weekend.

Mocha Cozy Pattern

I have another pattern written up.
I love this one, and the yarn was perfect for it, the pattern shows up fairly well and better than expected.
Okay, here it goes, bear with me and let me know if I made any errors please, I tried really hard to get it precise, but you know sometimes the interpretation gets a bit twisted.

Materials:
I used Patons Kroy Socks Stripes, in color Sultana Stripes; less than half a skein
US 2 DPN's

Special stitches:
Provisional or Crochet Cast-On ( I use a utube video)
Knitted or Cable Cast-On ( Utube again is a great source)
Skyp Stitch { slip 1 stitch purlwise, K1, YO, Pass slipstitch over the last 2 stitches (k1&yo)}

Row 2: K2, P6, K2, P6
Row 3: (K2, Skyp, K2, P2) 2X
Repeat rows 2&3until handle measures approx 9in (22.9 cm)

Start body of cozy with row 3:
At the end of row 3 do NOT turn, using knitted or cable cast-on , cast on 16 stitches, (start placing stitches on a second and 3rd dpn whenever works for you), pick up the 16 live stitches from the cast on by removing the scrap yarn and picking up the stitches (K2, Skyp, K2, P2, K2, Skyp, K2, P2) cast-on another 16 stitches and join to work in the round.

Body Pattern:
Row 1: *K6, P2* repeat from * to * around.
Row 2: *K2, Skyp, K2, P2* repeat from * to * around
Repeat rows 1&2 until piece measures approx 1in (2.5cm)
